As Silica
Poem published in Eight Fires, the autumn 2023 anthology from Dark Mountain which explores the eight ceremonial fires of the year through practices, stories, poetry and artwork. The book is “made of wild winds, seaweed shelters, glass mushrooms, talking fire sticks, singing stones, moments of joy, grief and intense physical immersion in a sentient planet.” I am grateful that poem, which had sat with me for four years before I submitted it, found a home in this anthology.
