Three (HORROR) Poems


Poetry published in Sticky Fingers’ FDBNHLLLTTFHORROR in June 2021. ‘As Syrup’ was a prose poem, previously published in Aww-Struck, which centred on the suffocating and horrific aspects of a sanitised online slime culture. ‘Four Stinkhorns’, a four-part characterisation of phallus impudicus fungi and their perception as rude, is part of an ongoing project with Nina Hanz, Mycoglossia. ‘Meet the Meat’ explores the uncanny and cognitively dissonant effect of meat ‘with a face’, from Billy Rolls to animated sausages.
